EB-1A can support a permanent residence process and permits self-petitioning without an employer’s job offer or labor certification. USCIS examines the qualifying evidence and the record as a whole for sustained acclaim and standing at the top of the field.
An approval is not the whole journey
An approved immigrant petition is a step toward a green card. Visa availability and eligibility for adjustment of status or consular processing still matter. A previous O-1 approval does not automatically establish EB-1A eligibility.
